Glittering or Littering?

It's been a great weekend!  Minus the multiple hours I spent at the library yesterday.....

Lauren is the manager for the Masquerade Ball in a few weeks and as roommates we are lucky enough to be drafted to the decorating crew!!  We worked on masks for quite a few hours today and they turned out pretty fantastic.  Only....40 more to go.  Needless to say, our apartment will be sparkly for the next few weeks.  Someone needs to reinvent glitter so it doesn't stick to everything.

I Have Faults Too

I mean, I know everyone thinks I have it all together and life is just wonderful all the time and I do everything right and nothing goes wrong and my family is great and my roommates are awesome and my job is the best job on the planet and that I have a rockin' body without ever working out and my room is always clean and my clothes always match and I bake delicious baked goods and my hair falls perfectly across my shoulders as the wind blows luscious curls across my face and I have a 4.0 and I get nine hours of sleep every night and I have a butler who brings me chocolate on a tray and a seamstress to custom fit all my clothes and Frank Sinatra to sing me to sleep and a feather mattress and....oh you know....life is just perfect.  

Well, my friends, I have a fault.  

I do not floss my teeth.  

BUT this is quickly changing as I have flossed for the last three days at least once a day.  So pretty soon I will be perfect and have perfect teeth.  Maybe I'll change my name to Mary and be practically perfect in every way.  Except I don't want to be practically perfect...I'm going to be perfect. 

I'll keep Abigail.

PS- I'm tired.  And when I'm tired and want to blog, this is the kind of stuff I come up with.  One day I'll look back and this and wonder how I ever got to be so weird...one day will probably be tomorrow....

An Overdue Roommate Date

Alexis and I used to do roommate dates ALL the time.  They were chill ways to spend a Friday night since I'm usually a bum-- exhausted from the week's activities.  We haven't had one in a while and so I suggested seeing The Lion King in 3D!!  It was pretty fantastic.  I'm not a huge fan of 3D and for a movie that wasn't made to be 3D it was decent.  I haven't seen the movie in forever and so I still laughed at the jokes like it was the first time I'd heard them.

  

Next up, The Lion King on Broadway...anyone want to take me??

Um...what's a cat doing in here?

Apparently this demon cat thought he could make our apartment its home.  I guess it didn't realize it had just walked into the apartment of one of the biggest cat-haters in Rexburg...

What's homework?

I'm so bad at being a good student.  You would think that I was an excellent one if you looked at my transcript...but it's kind of a lie.  I'm just not self-motivated when it comes to school!!  Every semester I think I'll do better and I'll study more and work harder.  Every semester I'm kind of disappointed in myself.  Like right now, for example, I'm blogging about being a bad student which is, in fact, enabling me to stay a bad student.  

Oh, the irony.

Yup, I'm officially a junior in college...and still have no idea what I'm going to do with my life.  It's not the end of the world, but I should probably get a plan together soon.

Well this semester isn't too bad so far.  MWF I'm in my epidemiology class at 7:45.  Then I stay in the same classroom for my next class, Health Communications.  This is an odd class in that it's just a lot of projects.  No lecture, no tests.  Just lots of outside work designing brochures, posters, displays, power points, PSAs, movies etc.  MW I have my baking class.  Monday is lecture and it's more the science of baking and then on Wednesday we get to work in the kitchens.  Tomorrow we're making french bread.  That will also be our practical midterm.  TT I have Nutrition through the Life Cycle at 8:00.  I took the pre-req for the class over a year ago so I'm only slightly struggling remembering everything I should.

I've done a crappy job with planning classes that have pre-req's because of work.  Instead of getting classes the next semester that correlate I just get whatever fits my schedule...oh well.  Too late to change any of that.

My last TT class is Foundations Capstone which is an analytical thinking/ moral judgment class.  In addition to classes I'm still working at the best job on campus from 10-1 every day.  Three hours seems like nothing after working 6-8 a day during the summer.  Although the pay is not quite as exciting....

So this was a pretty boring post but I felt like I should write something about school since that is the biggest chunk of life right now.

OH!!!!  I do have interesting news.  I might go to PERU this winter since Jerusalem fell though.  More details to come on that.
